What will you leave behind?
Will you leave a Legacy?
Kincaid Elementary Legacy Fund
Mission
To give back to Kincaid by leaving a lasting gift in honor of a departing fifth grade student.
Legacy Donors
Gifts made to the Kincaid Legacy Fund come from families (or individuals) who are invested in Kincaid and our community and who have a fifth-grade student leaving Kincaid Elementary. Donors can leave gifts in honor of any Kincaid student past or present. Legacy Donors will have the understanding that investing in Kincaid means investing in our community for years to come.
How is supporting The Legacy Fund different from supporting the Kincaid Foundation?
These gifts to the school will be used to fully fund or contribute to funds for special programs and projects that will benefit all students at the school. Donations may be used for school initiatives or school-wide projects that are beyond the scope of the Foundation budget. This fund will only be comprised of Legacy Donations left behind by graduating Kincaid families.
How does the Kincaid Foundation support the Legacy Fund?
The Legacy Fund will fall under the Kincaid Foundation for accounting and maintenance purposes. The Kincaid Foundation will keep the Legacy funds separate from the regular Foundation operating budget. In addition, The Legacy Fund will require a chair every year to work with the Foundation and a committee to promote and maintain it. A small committee (ideally 5th grade parents) comprised of at least ONE Foundation member, should be committed to its fundraising, accounting procedures, database maintenance, its grant process, and its donor benefits each year. The committee chair will report directly to the Kincaid Foundation Board of Directors.
The Kincaid Elementary Legacy Wall
Kincaid Elementary donated the large wall in the school lobby to showcase the Kincaid Elementary Legacy Wall. This wall is a testament to the investment of families at Kincaid. Visitors can see that the unity between our families and our school run deep and will allow all who enter to know that our teachers and families support one another. Donors who give $250 or more will be recognized as a “Legacy Benefactor” and will have their name engraved on the wall.
